Thick Toenail

A thick toenail is usually a result of an injury of the nail and damage to the nail bed. The nail will continue to thicken, even curl in all weird shapes as it continues to thicken. Sometimes, it will curl on either side resulting is an ingrown nail or pain when the nail is pressed.

If your nail is discolored and or yellow, white, crusty looking or green, this may be fungus nail instead of a mere thick toenail.

Here is an interesting situation i ran into last night. It was 2am and i decided that i needed more soda so i drive to my corner gas station to pick up a six pack. I know the gentlemen behind the counter very well as i go there quite often after 12am so we got to talking.

I mentioned toenail fungus too him and his eyes lit up. He is only 23 years old and he goes on to tell me that he has already had toenail fungus two times in his life and he wanted to know if i knew of something that could help him. Millions of men and women visit nail salons every year. How clean are these places? Before you pick one to use, do you check out place to make sure that the instruments they are using on your hands and feet are clean? What is the general hygiene of the place?

Before surgery the surgeons sterilize their instruments. When you go to the dentist the instruments they use are sterilized before use. When you visit a tattoo parlor the needles they use are supposed to be sterilized. Well they should be.

The same holds true when you visit you local nail salon. More women will catch a nail fungus from their local nail salon than men will. That should be obvious. More women use nail salon than men do but have you given those nail files, clippers, cuticle removers and all the instruments they use for pushing and cutting a second though?

My Toenail fungus problem and how i cured it!

I finally got sick to death of my yellowing toenails and needed to do something asap. Not only was i extremely embarrassed, but it starting controlling my life. People would constantly ask me "whats wrong with your nails, June?". But like most people, i chose to ignore it, including the questions.

Our busy lifestyles don't allow us to spend enough time doing things for "US". With work, schedules, meetings, rush here rush there, I was like most people. TOO BUSY and ignoring the obvious!!

One day, while working, I was serving a group of guys. One of them caught a glimpse of my feet and made a comment, as I walked away I heard the words "toe" and "feet" followed by a loud roar of laughter coming from the group. I was so upset about it that had to have another server complete the order. I was too ashamed to face them again.

Well, that's all it took. I was tired of the comments and i was tired of dealing with this "THING" long enough. I set out to find a cure to my problem and I never looked back. I decided from the start, that I did not want to take a prescription and I wanted this treatment to be as natural as possible.

There are so many ways you could have contacted toenail fungus its almost too many to list but here are some;

Dirty nail files, nail salons that do not properly sanitize their equipment (high risk)
Trauma and damage to the nails
Sweaty feet, if you are prone to it
